Planning a Field Trip to Brock's Farm

Field Trips in the Spring

A field trip to Brock’s Farm in the spring provides students a hands on opportunity to learn about agriculture. Our goal is to provide an educational experience designed to meet the needs and goals for your group, regardless of age.

Field trips that take place in the spring focus on the production of strawberries. They will be able to pick their own strawberries to bring home.  Students will also learn about how strawberries are planted, cared for, and harvested in our Ag Classroom. We will explore topics like pollination, photosynthesis, plant growth and life cycles. After the educational portion, students will get an old-fashioned hay-ride around the farm, stopping in our barnyard area to visit the farm animals and our observation Bee Hive. Lastly, students will pick up their fresh picked berries packaged for the ride home. School groups are welcome to bring their snack or lunch to enjoy in the picnic area. Please allow at least an hour and a half for field trips.
